General Manufacturing Labor

Job Summary                                    General Manufacturing Labor
Location   Macomb, MI
Job Type   Manufacturing
Experience Level   Entry Level
Job Purpose   To ensure quality product is produced and shipped to the customer using established operator instructions and quality standards.
Duties
  • Responsible for operating a machine that produces parts to customer quality standards while following company safety guidelines.
  • Responsible for detecting and communicating non-conforming product.
  • Responsible to accurately record data concerning the defect on appropriate form and to the appropriate person so that the defect can be corrected.
  • Maintain work areas and equipment that showcase a clean and safe work environment.
Skills and Experience
  • Excellent Attendance.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  • Employees will be trained to read calipers, check bent part to a pattern, use gage to check end forms.

 

Quality Inspector

Job Summary                                   Quality Inspector
Location   Macomb, MI
Job Type   Manufacturing
Experience Level   Minimum 2 years’ Experience Required or other Work Related Experience.
Job Purpose   To ensure quality product is produced and shipped to the customer using established operator instructions and quality standards.
Duties
  • Responsible for performing hourly quality inspections.
  • Responsible for machine operator training and gage procedure training. Train other employees to read calipers, check bent part to a pattern, use gage to check end forms.
  • Responsible for detecting and communicating non-conforming product.
  • Responsible for part packaging, product tagging and identification.
  • Maintain product logs, X-Bar and R-Charts.
  • Collect SPC Data and train others.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to read dial calipers.
  • Ability to train, lead and continuously improve all areas of the business.
  • Excellent Attendance.
  • Above average verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
